When I first got my car, it averaged around 16mpg. When I fixed the vent lines (i.e. gas leak) I got around 20mpg.

8 months and 10k miles later, all of the work I've put into my car is paying off :] My last 2 fill ups (after my breaker points have been adjusted) average 25mpg!

Hard work and a lot of learning pays off! I'd say 25mpg is pretty good for a 34 year old car without an overdrive gear driving in "city" conditions!

Update, June 2013

Vacuum gauge installed, traveling 90% highway, figures look to be around 27-28mpg. Aiming for 30mpg at least once. Will try and lean out AFR until I get there.

BROKE 30MPG! :D I feel like I can lean out the AFR even more, but I'd rather not chance it. As it is now, the engine is running good and strong and I'm happy with the gas mileage I'm getting
