Had some traffic this time coming home for 2 days. Like 25 minutes for 3 miles. I did turn off and on the car at times to avoid long periods of time idling.

I switched to the 155/65/13 tires and is now a true 3.52. I have been keeping the same timing for this cam/gears and satisfied with it. I added a force air system. I also was having problems with performance and found out the carb needed cleaning. Running better then ever. Driving 55 to 60 mph.

Mostly hwy open road driving this time. Found out timing is best on 5 to 7. I have the shift points down good now . Matching the rpm with mph and gear is much better. If I can get ... even just a few more hp more for 5th gear to help with (not mountains now) but those rolling hills if you know what I mean.

Getting the shifting down good. If it wasn't for 2 days (about 30 minutes at the end of the each day) of really bad stop and go ... on and off for about 30 minutes coming home It would of been higher.

I think the engine has finally been broken in. Towards the end of the test I got my shift points/mph matched with my rpms. This cam dies above 3,000 rpms and I found out that I have been shifting into 5th to early alot of the times. So we'll see.

80 percent Hwy driving at around 55 to 60 mph with a few 35 to 45mph due to slow ups. I moved the timing up to 8 to 9 degrees of timing.

Well just filled up ... 48 mpg. Not very happy right now but expected it to be bad. Drove in areas that I normally do not go to and they are very hilly. Had lots of stop and go traffic also. Last night I (don't know why) put the timing @ 5 to 6 degrees and when I get home I'll move it back to 10. Car seems to feel very "loaded down" @ 5 compared to 10.

May of last time not quite filled it up completely. This time car could not take anymore or it would be spilling out. That is how I will be filling up the car for now.In just changing some of the numbers around makes a big difference. Example from a range from 5.25 to 5.75 gallons it will change anywhere from 52.47 to 58.39 mpg.

First fill up. Remember engine has not been broken in yet. Had some traffic and at times loaded down with tools plus still learning best time to shift gears. Timing is set at 5 degrees.

New engine/trans installed with 3.52's. New engines generally require 1k miles (give or take) before realizing their potential.
