At the end of May '14 I swapped out the original steel rims (16lbs) for Civic VX rims (9.7lbs). My third fueling will reflect the new wheels.

The steelies with 165 x 80 tires weigh 26.9lbs.

The VX rims with bigger 175 x 70 tires weigh 23.6lbs.

With the new VX rims I've pumped all four tires to the sidewall max: 44psi. And, with the new rims, I'm inspired to apply aggressive hypermiling, such as turning off the engine when able to coast or when coasting up to known, long stoplights.

Can't wait to wear out these 175 x 70 tires, so I can get some 145 X 80 tires, which is one size smaller than stock. That'll provide less friction, because of a smaller road contact patch, and less wind resistance, because of a smaller profile.
