Mostly city driving with some freeway thrown in for good measure. The hills in this area are what really bruise my mileage. I can't leave my house and return to it without climbing a considerable hill.

A day trip up to Tacoma, WA for detailing supplies saw almost 100% Interstate cruising and netted the best tank yet. Trip computer suggests my average speed for the tank was 58 mph. The mileage reduction now resumes as planned.

Nope, you're not seeing things. I've really managed to cut back on the driving big time, mostly due to rising fuel prices and the high number of miles I racked up in the first four months. Expect this trend to continue.

Oregon's gas tax took a 6¢ hike starting the first of the year so the price has gone up just a hair since then. My Kroger Card gives me 10¢ off per gallon so I was able to negate that rise by a bit. Mostly city traffic here, nothing out of the ordinary.

Done using the ethanol-free fuel for now as it's way across town and so expensive once I get there. This tank is a new record for me as a spontaneous after-work road trip wound up being a lot longer than I intended.

I hate how many miles I'm putting on this car...burned through this tank in four days!! But I'm busy and there isn't much you can do about that. On the upside, the car is still loving the non-ethanol fuel. Need proof? Check out the chart and look specifically at the last three fill-ups.

Filled up at a station offering ethanol-free fuel. Unfortunately it only comes in premium grade, hence the extra price. However the car already seems to be running better and we'll see if it translates into better mileage.

This tank started out with mostly highway driving and at one point, the trip computer indicated a 22 mpg and 39 mph average. However as I kept to city streets, that peak plummeted.

I was working for the last half of this week and it's a 40 mile round-trip so I really racked up the miles. The gauge was still above half but I wanted to top it off for the upcoming week, especially with the rising gas prices.

Took advantage of a local supermarket promotion with Shell gasoline to knock off ten cents a gallon!! There was some highway driving on this tank but mostly city.
