Feederhouse Reverser Gearcase - Change Oil

Feederhouse reverser gearcase had left side oil seal start leaking. Leaked most of oil out. Got hot. Variable speed feeder house lower pulley had broken inner sheave. Replaced outer seal on reverser gearcase Replaced lower inner sheave on variable speed feeder house. Replaced both grease seals and 3 woodruff keys on lower variable speed sheaves. Replaced feederhouse belt Drained remaing oil out of reverser gearcase and refilled with GL5.

Replaced 2 of 3 filters. Did not replace hydraulic filter as it was changed earlier while trying to diagnose slow header lift.

Changed Lo-Vis fluid in engine gearcase. I also pulled screen. Screen was a really clean. It had a just a little but of slimy or fibrous material on it. More like oily chaff or paper towel or dirt it was not metal i am pretty sure as it did not have shiny flecks in it

Changed GL5 80-90 in: Final Drives Transmission Dual Range Cylinder Drive Below are pics of screen in transmission. It had a few silver flecks and smaller. I did not feel it was abnormal. Also i am not sure i pulled that screen when i changed that oil in the past.

Winter maintenance items. Replaced both bearings on lower tailings auger with shoup YET206 Replaced tensioner pulley AH140497 on rotary screen drive belt. Replaced fuel tank to fuel pump hose. AH146788 Replaced battery hold down H134000 Replaced Dust Fan belt. H164452 Replaced unload auger chain idler sprocket bearing JD7126 Replaced heater hoses from right side of cab to engine. (15’) TY22328, (16’) TY22330 Replaced feederhouse lower rear plate H173904

Replaced White added filter as we notice filter relief valve had popped out due to oil flowing in wrong direction.So we drilled suction gauge port in opposite side of housing and in reversed filter housing to correct flow direction and so oil will be flowing opposite direction.

Heater hose leak drained coolant so i had to add about 4 gallons of 50% Coolgard 2 and 50% filtered water

3812 sep hrs. Primary countershaft splines rusted/stripped out in primary countershaft gearcase. Replaced primary countershaft gearcase AH141049 with used one out of 9400 from Cook Tractor. Used gearcase had low wear on splines and splines had grease on them and were not rusted. 9400 gearcase had a sight glass for oil fill level vs my original having a dipstick. Replaced primary countershaft AH147483 with new one from Deere Replaced primary countershaft RH bearing JD8669 with new one from Deere. Replaced primary countershaft shield AH163802 with used one from Cook Tractor. Our old one was cracked. Kevin said if those bow down until they rub the shaft, they can start a fire. Replaced feederhouse clutch swivel connector AH130582, our old one came apart. Replaced bushings H126716 and seals AB5070R in feederhouse clutch pulley. Replaced Reel Pump Belt H151952

Replaced Pressure Relief valve on Hydraulic stack Valves. This was to fix slow header lift issue. It did not fix it so old valve is still ok.
