39944miles Replaced all oil filters, plastic vent tubes, drain bolts, then filled up oil. 8 litres took the dipstick to 3/4 of the measurement zone on the dipstick. Expecting to be able to add a further 2L once it's started up and warmed up to operating temp. Mobil 1 15W50 - 8 to start. Awaiting warm up to add more. Rubber O-ring replaced in side oil drain bolt Al crush washer for both drain bolts replaced. .....next day started up for 5min...heard some tapping. added 9th (2/3 full actually). Still no dipstick reading. Added 10th - still no reading Added 11th - still no reading. Said f it and started up and let idle for 15min Eventually tapping gone. Dipstick read 50% Total oil added probably 10.5L bec each bottle that I refilled was not a full litre Will check again after a longer warmup. Update. Jan23/2018. 6C outside so decided to give a 45min warmup. Oil dipstick showed 3/4 of the stick range.
