We sold our can on July 3, 2018, just shy of its ten year anniversary with us, at just about 140820 miles. We'll miss it very much.

Swapped on winter tires at 137588 miles for an additional 1668 miles on summer tires. These are up to 28,300 miles and look like they probably only have another 5k in them.

Flushed and bled brake and clutch fluid. Checked tire pressure and all are between 37-39 psi.

Swapped on summer tires at 135920 miles for an additional 2178 miles on the snow tires this year. Total mileage about 19,800 since I bought them used for one season.

Oil change. 90915-YZZF1 Toyota filter and Mobil1 full synthetic. Filled with half 5w-20 and half 5w-30, which is what I had lying around. Cost $24.07, odo 134166, 12.0 miles since fill. 6437 miles on this oil.

Swapped on snow tires at 133742 miles for an additional 3,372 miles on the summer tires this year. Total of about 26,600 miles on these tires since new. Tires look like they've got at least 10k left on themm, which is great for decent summer tires.

Changed cabin filter at 133044 miles. Old one was nasty. $14.55 for off brand Napa filter. Last time replaced was 3.5 years ago.

Changed oil and filter. Mobil1 5w-20 full synthetic and Toyota made in Japan filter (90915-10004). 127729 miles on odometer which means 6815 miles on oil. Also, started a new job much closer to home. Commute is about 3.5 miles each way instead of 17. However, I also have to use my car to drive around at work a bit. Expecting mileage to drop but total gas usage to go way down.

Swapped on summer tires, a full month earlier than last year. Only added 2,335 miles on the winter tires this season, for a total of about 15,600 (though I bought them used for one season). Aired up to 40 psi all around.

Replaced battery with a slightly used unit from a Toyota dealer. Got it for free so no cost. Original battery has 6.5 years and 123,000 miles, not too shabby.

Changed oil and filter, Mobil1 full synthetic 5w-30 and 90915-10004 filter. 4842 miles on oil, 120914 on odo. Also swapped snow tires on. Summer tires have total of 18,100 miles at this time.

Miracle fix... Loss of 5th gear caused by the transmission output shaft end nut backing off. No damage to trans and was able to access through the transmission end cover without serious difficulty. Less than 4hrs of work including diag and total cost only $44 for new Redline MT90, new drain bolt, and an end wrench.

Got our side mirror smashed in a parking lot. However the person who smashed it paid for the parts and I installed myself. Actual cost was $161.49 for mirror and $9.50 for shipping and installation only took 5 minutes. The mirror came painted and the color match was perfect.

Oil change. Mobil1 full synthetic 5w-30, Toyota 90915-10004 made in japan filter. 6,900 miles on this oil. Also rotated tires. At about 13,250 miles, these Hankook summer tires still have 6-6.5 mm of tread left on each tire (they had 8mm tread when new). Hoping to get 30k or more out of them. They are great to drive on and cheap.

Replaced water pump. Pump had slow leak from weep hole. Total cost was 129.34 including tube of FIPG for gasket (reused coolant since it only has 20k on it). While I had it apart, I inspected the alternator brushes which have plenty of life left. This was my first time sealing a water pump with no gasket (just FIPG) so I will be closely watching it over the next couple of weeks.

Swapped the summer tires back on at 109514 miles. New water pump is in the mail. Decided against replacing the serpentine belt tensioner or anything else at this time (belt is already new). If it were a timing belt I might feel differently. 9,000 more miles on snow tires for a total of 13,250 (though I bought them used for 1 season).

Changed oil, Mobil1 5w-20 full synthetic and Toyota YZZF1 filter. Oil was a little low, it seems to eat a little of the thin 20 weight oil at longer intervals. 5,730 miles on this oil, cost was $24 for oil and filter. Noticed while under hood that coolant was slightly low, and sure enough the water pump is weeping. Topped off coolant and will order new pump next. First substantial problem in almost 110,000 miles of ownership, can't complain.

Changed oil, almost 5,000 miles on this oil. -- After consideration, I am going to stop using the lifetime oil change service we paid $340 for when we bought the car. We have used it 19 times which means we paid about $18 per oil change. We can still use it if we want to, but they use cheap oil and filters and lately it has been inconvenient, resulting in long oil change intervals. I am going to start doing it myself and buying Mobil1 synthetic and OEM filters by the case (Scion and MR2 use the same filter). This tank is the regular Toyota YZZF1 filter ($5.31 at local dealer) with Mobil1 5w-20 ($27.99 for 6 qt at Costco). My previous experiment with 0w-20 in this car resulted in the motor eating a quart over the 8,000 mile interval, so hopefully the 5w-20 will be alright. (Cap recommends 0w-20 or 5w-20 but dealer has always used 5w-30.) Still trying to decide if I want to spend $4.21/ea on made-in-Thailand 90915-YZZF1 filters or $7.36/ea on the made-in-Japan, fiberglass media 90915-10004 unit (original part number). Cost for this oil change was $23.97 total.

First freeze, so I swapped snow tires on about 50 miles into tank. 6,725 miles on the new Hankooks. Snow tires only have about 28-30 psi, need to air up.

Finished the 100k maintenance. New OEM parts: wiper arms/blades (to get rid of the crappy Bosch replacements), spark plugs, PCV valve, and air filter. Replaced the "lifetime" TRD/K&N filter that had 70k on it. Never using one of those again. You can see through it where the filter element has completely disintegrated. Also replaced 2 brake bleeder screw caps which had disintegrated. Total cost: $92.53

Finally installed new serpentine belt @ 97k miles. Original one actually looked alright, in hindsight did not need to replace yet. Unhooked negative terminal so ECU was reset. Also flushed brake fluid and rotated tires. Note that I purchased the Mitsuboshi belt, not the Bando. Microfiche has two different part numbers, and dealership had some confusion. Mitsuboshi was $10 cheaper than Bando and went on perfectly.

New Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires in stock size ($434 installed). Initial impressions are very quiet and very responsive. 45,400 miles on last set of Fuzions, a tad more than the original Bridgestones. Could have got maybe 10k more out of them if the one hadn't punctured, but they were terrible to begin with. Shop put 30 psi in tires.
