7 years and 50 something thousand miles. Our family bought it new back in 04' Mom drove the 5 minutes work for a couple years but decided to be green and bought a Japanese 'golf cart'. This left our dear old explorer lost and alone except when we needed to squeeze 7 people in one car to ride the 5 minutes to the local Italian restaurant once a month. Then the restaurant closed and it was unused until some idiot rear ended me. This put the Ford Explorer in a spot to return to glory, burning gas like no tomorrow for an hour each day to get me to school and back.
