4and2's profile
I've driven more than a million miles, covering all 48 contiguous USA states, DC & and even some in Mexico since 1965, mostly in my past and present Alfa Romeos. Today (02/21/12) the GTV6 has 457426 (s)miles on the odometer. Until a few years ago, the GTV6 lifetime MPG was a solid 24. Unfortunately, there is a fuel management issue (yet to be determined) and the city MPG is 13, while the highway MPG is only 18. I decided it would be better to buy a high mileage vehicle late last year, and will postpone the repairs on the Alfa until a later date.
Although I've had a motorcycle license for about 5 years, it wasn't until mid December of 2011 that I finally acquired my very first motorcycle, a 2006 Ninja 650r, which is to be used primarily to commute to work (~54.4 miles round trip, 5 days a week) at 70 (indicated 80) and 75 (indicated 85) mph. It's too bad the Alfa will never be able to achieve the mileage of the Kawasaki. I hope to average 54.4 MPG or higher as I become more skilled at riding the Ninja 650r.
