Used premium this next tank. This tank I let a friend test drive and he KILLED my mileage, then a drunk driver took out a telephone pole near my house so power lines were down across the road and I took a detour through the woods on a road only recommended for trucks for about 3/4 of a mile - serious sand! Other option was detour 18 miles.

First tank with new exhaust. I drove MUCH faster than I usually do and used A/C plenty. Also gassed up on a slight incline going away from the tanks which would net a good amount of fuel in the filler neck after the click. Fuel used should of been more like 7.6-7.7 gallons. It'll come out in the wash (next fill up).

Well, I used the A/C extensively again. Took the wife home from the hospital and also did another 80mph ride for 15 miles. :( All this A/C and fast driving isn't helping my mileage BUT I am still doing better than the 36mpg from what the EPA says I "should get for combined driving. :(

I did drive LESS conservative BUT I do question the accuracy of the pump though I feel it was off maybe 3/5 of a gallon over the 8+ gallons used. This tank I drove using A/C MUCH more & at much higher speeds than I usually go. Still, not bad. Next tank will be even lower maybe as I am using A/C almost all the time - it's HUMID HERE!! I can stand heat but not the humidity. Makes my body parts sweat. :)

Some say it couldn't be done (AND these were other Smart owners that said it!!) I did a 400 mile tank! Very few have been able to do it so far! Next tank will be no where as good. I'm using A/C MUCH more, not driving as easy either. I want to see how it'll do driving normal but not too much like an idiot.

SWEET! She's loosening up now. Tires at 40lbs and it's not as bone jarring of a ride as I though. Like I said last fillup, oil was swapped over to Amsoil 5W-30

FIRST OIL CHANGE!! Just changed the oil for the first time at 2050 miles. Put in Amsoil 5W-30 with a Bosch filter that has a little more capacity than the stock filter.
