Bought new ( first week of May ) with ZERO km's on it. Started using only AMSOIL 10W40 when I had hit 3,000 Km's Now changed over to AMSOIL 10W30 in mid Sept of 2011 with temps cooler now in the 15c and colder. Rear drive gear oil also AMSOIL 75W90 extream gear lube.
Tire pressure 3 PSI over max has given range and ride improvement. Metz 880's. OEM tires were Dunflop D250's ( junk cupped in first 4,000 Km's ) Had to replace dunflops at 12,800 Km's tires worn and cupped so badly that tires became "unsafe".
Update: Now at April / 2012 this bike now has 28,000 Km's Its just 11 months old at this point.
