In December 2010 I stated researching cars. I needed a car with good fuel mileage for my work commute and enough room for my bike. I decided on a VW Jetta sportwagon diesel tdi. After checking options and colors I went to my local dealer and ordered one on January 23. They searched for one and couldn't find any with my selected options so they ordered it on February 8. It was released to manufacturing on February 15. Production started on March first and it was inspected on March 17th. It arrived in port on the 22nd of March and loaded on a ship on the 25th. It arrived in the USA on April 3rd and put on a truck April 6th. It arrived at my dealer on April 7th and I drove it home on April 13th.
