the only course of action left open to me is to complain in writing to the MD of Hyundai UK. I got nowhere making this complaint. i have now installed a scangauge, using this to compare settings with other i10's to find out what differences result in good or bad MPG Adjusting the TPS sensor has lead to an improvement in MPG
