Almost all highway miles - and used pulse & glide fairly often. Needed to top off the car before I loaned it to friends driving to Ohio for Thanksgiving. I'll be very interested in what they get for mileage!

75% highway, 25% urban (Manhattan - awful slowness) & suburban. Increased 'pulse & glide' use and it did improve MFD mileage on identical trips. But the city crawls really hurt mpg.

Aha moment: What I thought was the effect of cooler weather to depress my mileage was rather the LACK of traffic congestion. It turns out that heavier traffic improved my mileage by forcing me to 'pulse & glide' more. I am now looking at using that technique more when possible. 10% urban driving.

Aimed for 700+ mile tank but short trips near end killed it. Seems like I am getting better mileage on routine trips - averaging another mile a gallon on East Hampton-Bronxville run. 80% hwy; 20% suburban/city

Didn't do all of the driving on this trip and paid a penalty for letting my partner drive. But I had a nice tail wind on today's 110 mile trip home - averaged 61.4 mpg on it. Almost made up for his less economic driving style! 80% highway, 20% suburban

About half of the travel was local short distance. Included a couple of trips into Manhattan so urban driving too. But it did include a round trip to Hamptons which salvaged some of the mileage. Hated this being my worst fill to date but considering the short trips and slow traffic, didn't do as bad as I thought.

Second fill up. Dealer re-set trip odomenter at 1,000 mile check-up but thankfully had record of first fill up with mileage written on receipt. 90% highway, 10% suburban - rode in HOV lane (Friday to Hamptons but with guests) so drove faster than I usually do for 75 miles.
