Notes: Long time since I logged in and updated my mileage. Prius has performed flawlessly,...no problems to date, except Toyota recall to shorten accelerator pedal. I haven't taken them up on that yet. Very glad that the cold weather is over,...Prius only hiccup is climate control,...cold weather puts too much demand on motor.

Notes: Computer logged 50.4 vs. actual. Fuel procured at SAMS with home top-off. Unusually cold weather for this time of year with temperature in single digits and w/c well below 0. Prius does NOT shine in cold weather,...as I suspected. Motor seems to run ALL of the time trying to keep engine at operating temp and supply necessary climate control needs. Very poor in snow and ice.

Notes: Very cold weather is on the way! I suspect the Prius will not fare well in very cold weather. Climate control appears to be its greatest negative. I did not use the A/C very much earlier in the year, which resulted in very good MPGs,....but the winter may prove a different matter. Engine appears to remain on a rich setting much longer, and definitely runs much more than in warmer weather. Definitely a weak cink in its armor.
