This car spent it's first 300,000 miles doing all types of driving including touring, towing, autocrossing, drag racing, turbo testing, extensive idling while my daughter was nursing, and just about anything else you can think of that kills MPGs. Its more recent years, particularly since discovering Fuelly.com in MAR 2009, have been spent driving a tad more normally. As a result, I decided to break my entries into two sections: The first 300k and then the rest.

So I consider this "retired" profile to be historical data for the first 300k, or "pre-Fuelly." The newer profile can almost be called, "Stealth TDI - Part 2." But it's more accurate to say it represents life after finding Fuelly.
