This mileage would have been a mix between 93 and 87 for octane around 91, but at this fillup I used straight 87 as it seems to be the most stable and best gas mileage (and I think that must be what the factory used when setting timing?)

February 13

Partial fuel up due to money shortage; had to put 93 octane in because was testing 89 and 87 and 87 caused bad running conditions, so this was an attempt to add cash on hand in 93 octane to the 87 octane to try to get it closer to 89 octane, which seems to get best mpg. Will continue to test 89 and 93.

February 11

This was using 89-90 octane (medium grade), created by having a half tank of 93 and filling the other half up with 87. So far, that was the best rating--testing all again to make sure.

February 6

Two changes during this fillup; first, new tire was put on just before fillup (K329 Kenda), 2nd 87 octane used, mixing with 93 to average around 90 octane--checking for performance/mileage next tank. Also, new NGK irridium will go in tomorrow.

RPMS went down to about 6.5k over the last couple of fillups at wot. Only change was a/f mix enriched. Also, bogs/hesitates about every 1 min. when wot, tightened coil to plug connector this morning; will see.

with new castrol high mileage syntec blend 10 30. Very recently adjusted carb back down. Attempted another overflow fill of gear oil. speed limit had dropped to 31 true avg. hiway, low tire pressure may be to blame, got pump.
