February 26

- Took out the busted glove box - Wired the microphone for the new Alpine radio behind the glove box assembly - Will need: new glove box, console tray (was stuck, had to rip it out), the missing screw tab for the right side console plastic, rear cup holder assembly spring protector (one side is broke)

Parts arrived from bora parts. Note that the rear windshield wiper blade refill part number is 6Q6955425A. I'm also gonna stick this inside the cover of the VW manual.

Iteresting, driving w bad/no maf increased fuel efficiency. Probably because I gas the car too much when thing r working?

January 22

Oil change.

Used the evolution oil change hatch. Bought the grease cleaner and metal seal though thinking that I'd take the whole skidplate off. Next time.

Started raining while I was waiting for the oil to drain. No water got in though.

Used GoPro cam to record the process. Will have to make a fast forward edit.

I disconnected the MAF and the car seems to gain power. Looks like MAF needs to get replaced.

Also spotted where the coolant temperature sensor is so that I can replace it.

Went to Auto Innovations in Milpitas to do an alignment and tire rotation.

Neither was done.

- tie rods for both front wheels are rusted/frozen. Unable to align front wheels. - Rear wheels were done. - Rear right wheel was damaged, they think it was run with flat. So not rotated at all. moving them to the front would be higher risk, since if the tire blew out it would mean losing steering too.
