Proposed Feature: Search

I'd like to see a way to search and/or sort Fuelly statistics. For example, I would like to be able to search for motorcycles that either average or have had over 250 miles between fill-ups, or cars that are averaging over 40 mpg. This feature could be useful for folks using Fuelly as a vehicle shopping tool.

That's an interesting idea, I know we could do a lot more to make Fuelly "shopping" friendly. Our main focus right now is getting people tracking, so we view the shared statistics as gravy on top of that process. We're not against making that gravy more interesting, but we feel like making it the main course could hurt the tracking aspect of the site. That's why we don't list things in the order of best fuel economy. Our first priority is getting accurate fuel-up data.

I do agree with you that there's a lot we could be doing with the data. We're thinking about this.

Thanks for the reply. I love the site... now I don't have to keep that notebook in the glove box. (Well, except I'm still using it... gotta quit that!)

Yes, this could be an interesting secondary feature. I know other 150cc scooters are in the 70+ mpg range and I'm interested in something faster for highway use. I would also appreciate searches grouped by vehicle model, so that a single fuelly owner would be less likely to skew results.
