iphone

I would love a fix quickly. They have known about it for quite a while now.

Active Eco button

Incorrect to say it's a "placebo" effect. I own a 2012 Accent and have Active Eco on 100% of the time. What it does is adjust shift points and throttle response when you accelerate to save gas. Its gains aren't huge, but certainly worth it if you bought the car for fuel savings.

iOS App Crashing!!

Any word on an update to the Gas Tracker+ app for iOS. I love the app, but there are a few glitches, such as the app crashing upon opening the "Garage" tab or trying to view notes. Thanks!

RAV4 MPG

@MMUK Although there are other reasons for my recent increase in MPG (change in fuel blend, weather, change to synthetic oil), you can see on my Fuelly profile that the last 2-3 tanks I've had were a large difference from my previous tanks. The recent change for the better is when I started using some hypermiling techniques. Again, I won't attribute it all to hypermiling, but it certainly made a pretty good difference.

Good tip, but I partially disagree. Over the last two tanks in my 2012 Hyundai Accent I have been testing out some hypermiling techniques to squeeze out some better mileage. Most notably, I have focusing on coasting as much as possible and driving as if I don't have brakes. The result is a significant increase in mpg, I'm beating EPA estimates in city and mixed driving.

I don't use your tip a lot, unless I'm at a very long light. It certainly helps though. Thanks for sharing.

Hyundai Active Eco System

I have a 2012 Hyundai Accent. I keep mine on all the time, as it helps shift my automatic transmission for better fuel economy. It does appear to help a bit, but of you ever need to accelerate quickly, make shure to turn it off.

Mobile site blank on iPhone 4S

You're correct, Fuelly is not a native app. I do like, however, that the web app has a nice look and feel to it like a native app. My apologies for any confusion!

I have an iPhone 4 and the Fuelly mobile app tends to do this from time to time (once every few weeks or so). A few tips to try: close app and try again, delete app and reinstall, do a soft reset of the phone, or close all other apps in multitasking tray. Trying these should fix that... If not, it really could be the site.

New Addition: Auto vs. Manual Transmission

Great idea. I'm still relatively new to Fuelly, so I apologize if this has been asked before, but have you guys ever considered adding more data points for fill ups. I'm thinking of things like brand of gas, octane used, tire pressure, etc. I use the tags and notes section to do this now, but it would be nice to input these into their own box and share with others. It would something that people can enter optionally, of course. Just a thought...
