Cold air intake tip is incorrect!
Warmer air also has a tendancy to detonate in highly tuned motors. I have never seen a heat source on any performance intake.

Actually, we normally do see increased economy from Cold Air Intakes, because the motor is running more efficiently. Same reason we see better economy from free flowing exhaust systems. The more efficient the motor is running, the better its economy and the better its performance.
Been modding cars for 17 years, and have had V8s in 4000lb sedans get over 30mpg on the highway. No stocker could do that, but a modded motor can.

Which gas brand is the best?
Many US fuels are garbage. Having a very knock prone motor (modded 6.1L Hemi), I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that Exxon Mobil and BP are the best gases available. My tuners at DiabloSport agree.
Sunoco used to be good too, but they have dropped off badly in the past year or so. The absolute worst are the so called "Top Tier" brands. Shell for instance, knocks like crazy. The whole "Top Tier" crap is just propaganda. They can keep their crap.

Who's mileage is the worst?
Truthfully, all these people who try to get the best economy are ruining the fun of driving for the rest of us. Some of us like to accelerate hard (my Jeep does 0-60 in 3.59sec) and run fast. We don't wanna just creep around to save a little gas. I'd rather get my 10mpg and have fun driving then get 20 or more and have driving be a chore. I spend 45 hours a week behind the wheel. If driving is gonna be a chore, I'll go nuts.
God, forget economy, enjoy the drive. :)

Premium gas for 2010 Honda Insight
What does Honda call for? Regular, right? The compression isn't high enough for them to call for anything better. Thats what you use. Using a higher octane will not improve economy or power and may cause drivability problems.
