I haven't used fuelly in a long time and I want to get back to using it. I have a vehicle already in fuelly, but it's been about 2 years since I last entered some data. Should I delete my vehicle and start over, so can I enter a partial fill-up and then start tracking? I'm just worried that fuelly is going to think I went 15000 miles on a tank of gas.

when setting up my account i can't get the correct units for uk?

i want to track my MPG but for UK all i can get it litres, km, UK MPG.

We work in miles not KM. For this reason alone i don't think i will use the site as i don't have time to convert from miles to KM at every fill up.

The partial fillup checkbox on Fuelly Mobile stopped working recently. I've tried it on Android 2.3 and Android 4.0, and it doesn't seem to have an effect on either. (It was working on Android 2.3 until a month or so ago.)

I use SMS to add fill-ups. The image linked in my badge signature stopped updated after my 5th fill-up. I am at my 9th fill-up now. Strangely enough, the image linked in the preview link shows the correct number of fill-ups. Did the mefi.us site stop getting notice of SMS fill-ups to update badge image? [more inside]

When traveling across the border, the distance will be in KM and fuel up in Gallons or visa versa. It would be great if the web and mobile platform could have a selection to put in an alternative measurement on the fly as you are entering your fill up.

I have noticed that the MPG for my last 2 fuel-up's hasn't been calculated by the site. Therefore, it isn't updating average mpg etc. Is there a problem with the site?

It might be nice to be able to filter based on year of the vehicle. The reason I say this is that models don't always stay the same over the lifetime of a car or motorcycle. For example, the 2007 and older Kawasaki 250 Ninja is drastically different than the 2008 and newer. For cars look at the Corvette or perhaps the VW Beetle. [more inside]

Want to report a bug. I am using odometer for fuel up data entry. I always entered integral number of km only, with no decimal point. However, some of the fuel ups shown a mileage ending with 0.9 (also rarely 0.1) in the milage. After many fuel ups, the data will ended up missing a km or two due to these missing 0.1kms.

Could that happen because your site always store data in miles and convert back and forth then lost the accuracy?

Why no engine size? I would like to see the "gas, lpg, diesel, v6" options also show model. Or a separate property to manually enter capacity to compare. Rounded up for those of use that write 1398 for a 1400 etc.

A car's transmission has a very significant affect on its fuel economy. Usually manuals are much more economical however there are claims by some manufactures that their DSG or CVT transmissions are better than manual.
The transmission option was added late so few existing users know about it or have set it.
It would be very useful if all existing users were encouraged to update their cars details with the transmission type and for an additional filter to list only vehicles of a particular transmission type.
May also be useful to add DSG and CVT to transmission options.
Also need some auditing of some of the engine choices that are clearly invalid would be good.

Hi, Just had a look at my "all fuel-ups" chart, and noticed there were certain peaks and troughs over time. I keep track of all my vehicle maintenance via fuelly notes, so I went back through those to see if there was any correlation with the ups and downs of mileage. It would be great if you could optionally display notes at at the bottom of the chart (with a hover over to show note text) to see any relationship at a glance.

How about adding a way to specify a default tag for a particular vehicle. I use tags to track current tire type and vehicle location which don't change frequently. It would be nice to be able to specify a default tag under edit vehicle which would stay the same unless changed during a fuel-up.

I link to my profile from other sites. New visitors probably aren't going to figure out how to view all the notes and the default view is the compact style. Can a URL parameter be added to override the note display style to "expanded"? Thanks!

I've got a Golf IV 1.6 16v BCB 105PS, when I look at other vehicles I get both diesels and petrols and their mpg is roughly the same as mine.

The only variable is something called L4 and a couple of others, which I have not managed to lurk around and find out what they mean? Is there a FAQ or something which explains what L4 is?
