A preview of our new site for Earth Day!

Down at the bottom of the car page (where you see recent fill-ups) I would love to see at least some of the note field content ... even if only the first 32 characters or so can be shown and you have to hover your mouse cursor to see it all pop in box. Otherwise, looks nice.

Transfer Vehicle to Other Fuelly User

When I go to "Edit This Car" I see four buttons at the bottom of the page ... Update Car; Retire Car; Remove Car and Share Car.

When I go to "Edit This Motorcycle" I see three buttons ... Update, Retire and Remove. In the same place where I expect the Share button to appear there is this ... "Please Note: If you don't see the manufacturer of your motorcycle listed, you can request a new motorcycle maker. Also, it might take some time for your model to show up in public browsing." ... the same note that is on the "Add a Motorcycle" page. There are no other buttons or opportunities to scroll down for more page (or more cowbell).

Also, one other thing ... I know it is probably much, much less common, but if you can share a car on Fuelly, why can't you share a motorcycle?

Blackberry App for Fuelly

Fuelly launcher for BB seems to be working good now ... Log on not required every time.

Wow! The creator of the EDL launchers just messaged me and says he has corrected his URL on the BB launcher and it should be posted on his daily blog soon ... not sure if that means tomorrow or a few days or what ... apparently he has been swamped due to sudden exposure at crackberry.com. This should correct the issue with forcing a log in every time the laucher is used.

Rat farts! This app makes you log on every time. It's easier to just open browser and hit your bookmark.

Maybe the Fuelly folks can advise how EDL Industries and/or Fuelly users can securely make it work better.

You can grab a launcher app for BlackBerry at the link below. It's just a web link to take your BB browser to the Fuelly mobile site. It's got the cute Fuelly logo and it's one click and you are in. Pretty handy. I'm using it on BB Storm ... not sure if it works on other BB's.

Future Notes

Roger that ... but I'm sure I would not be the only user to take advantage!

PB - Thanks for the quick reply. I explored the notes feature a little more and it is really quite handy. I found that I can put a due date and odometer reading out in the future and it looks like it will stay at the front of the fuel log list until the date passes. The one small tweak that I think would be a big help for folks like me is to allow the user to sort the fuel log list based on odometer reading instead of date (user selectable). Is that possible? With that sort key flexibility, folks who put in the full odometer reading at each fill-up would have the reminder(s) stay at the top until the mileage was reached. As soon as a "due date note" drops down below the last fuel-up that is the memory trigger that you have reached the point of oil change, tire rotation, etc. What do you think?
