aftermarket intake manifold

i was wondering if putting an aftermarket intake manifold would effect my mpg. i dont care about horsepower just want to add some shiney-ness to my engine bay

I don't know how it would affect MPG, but if you're just looking for shiny, Ive seen people paint them. Plus its a good opportunity to clean it out along with your TB and IACV. Its also WAY cheaper.

if you really care, you could have it plated but that would put your car out of comission for a while.

maybe get a spare from a junk yard if you were going to go that route.

If it's a Honda that doesn't have the plastic intake manifold, you can always pick up a spare one and just polish it yourself. Polished aluminum looks really good.

i have tried polishing before on other cars i have had and i always get frustrated and give up so i thought maybe buying a cheap intake off of ebay would be better. i dont care if i gain any horsepower i just care if i lose any mpgs.

Just beware of the OBX and SSautochrome cheap intake manifolds on ebay, they will hurt your performance and are lacking in build quality and reliability.
