Camaro After Market Tail Lights

i posed this question before on another thread, but no one responded, so...

what do you guys, camaro owners or otherwise, do when OEM tail lights are no longer manufactured for your car. i found this site...http://store.racer-union.com/Shop/Control/fp/SFV/32388, but i'm uncertain about fit and function.

i've been fortunate enough to find OEM on previous vehicles, but not this one. thoughts on this site/brand? is there another site? this particular one has THE best price along w/ Ebay that i've found. the big name brand sites generally are asking about twice as much or more, so...

I've always been able to find taillights. Have you tried a junk yard? I would never use those types of aftermarket lenses.

jay, i'm afraid after so many years(especially sitting in the elements), junk yard stuff will be in not so good shape as well.

I've run into the same problem looking for tail light lenses for the Cad. They deteriorate to the point that they will crack if you look at them cockeyed.

I'm somewhat surprised...I did a little looking around and all I can find are used tail light units...I assume it is the '86 Camaro. I would have thought those would have been popular enough to warrant someone manufacturing a reproduction tail light lens. Hmmm....if I had a plastics company...or if I were to see if someone in China could manufacture them to original GM specs...Hmmmm.....

That seems odd. The taillights on my 81 Buick are in excellent condition, and I haven't even washed it in years.

you aren't kidding, the brake/tail light portion is cracking, while the turn signal and back-up light parts are falling out . funny thing is, the lights on the 86 are fine.
