First Tank Results CRX HF/DX

First off thanks to all for helping me with my questions to get this thing running. It was a short fill so we'll see. 125 mi 2.6 Gal. Filled to first click on the lowest stop on the fuel nozzle both times same pump 48MPG.

This is with a d15b6 head on a 50K JDM D15B (DX) shortblock. I drove like someone with a new car, revs all over the place, 70 on the freeway. I think with easier drive technique (light hypermile), some low rolling resistance tires, synthetic oil, I'll hit at least 55 mpg.

For the record this is not a unique engine. The 92-5 CX had the same head PM8 on the DX block.

Looks pretty good so far, you should be able to get those numbers up no problem.

So the valve reliefs on the pistons are not a problem? I would think that running an 8 valve head on a bottom end with valve reliefs for a 16 valve head is going to cause some piston/valve issues.

I'm pretty certain that the CX's pistons also had four valve reliefs. Perhaps honda's way of saving money?

Had both bottom ends sitting side by side. Everything about them was the same except for the two extra reliefs. Since, as I understand it, the piston parts are unavailable at this point, using a DX block is pretty much the only choice available if the pistons are shot
