Heat works on one side

I just got in to alaska and some time along the way I noticed that my heat only blows hot on the driverside and cool on the passenger side of the car. It also seems to me that the heat was never as hot as it should be anyway. I gets really cold up here so any help diagnosing this problem would be greatly apreciated.

Mixer flaps in the HVAC system could be stuck. This may be due to linkage breaking, parts seizing if you haven't moved the controls in months, vacuum leak under dash or underhood, (Vacuum actuated flaps in many cars) or things could have iced up. If you're driving with a slab of ice on the cowl/vents on the top of the hood, try cleaning this off real good and see if there's any glaciers trying to make their way in from that side.

I remember The RoadWarrior..To understand who he was, you have to go back to another time..the world was powered by the black fuel & the desert sprouted great cities..Gone now, swept away..two mighty warrior tribes went to war & touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. Without fuel, they were nothing..thundering machines sputtered & stopped..Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the highways, ready to wage war for a tank of juice
