podcast friendly mp3 car radio?

Right now I have a VR3 VRCD400-SDU radio (my review). It's OK, but doesn't remember the position inside a track when you turn it off, just which track (sometimes it forgets that as well). This means that if you're playing a long podcast on it, it'll reset to the beginning. Very unfriendly! I've been working around it in various ways, but I'm getting sick of it. Does anyone know a mp3 playing radio that takes USB drives and remembers both the track and position? Unfortunately, both user manuals and reviews usually neglect to mention this very specific feature. Thanks.

Thinking of going a different route and buying an mp3 player that allows faster playback speed and just using the line in jack on my existing car radio. There are some nice ones that adjust the pitch to avoid everybody sounding like chipmunks. Of course I may have to modify my line input setup, which is specific to the iPod Shuffle. I'm thinking the Sansa Fuze might be a good candidate.

Did a test using Quicktime and while playing podcasts at 1.5 times normal speed does help keep me much more entertained while exercising, I think it's unnecessary for driving (or working). Those are a lot less tedious than using my elliptical. So I'm back to square one on needing a podcast friendly radio, but at least I didn't need to mess with my line in setup.

Guess I should write a script to play things at increased speed with less effort. Since I exercise right in front of my computer, that'd do the trick.
