And to Holy Cow, yes the new rims are 17 inches as opposed to stock of 15 inches to account for the wider (225mm) and lower profile (45) tire. Each rim weighs about 4 or 5 pounds more than the stock ones I'm guessing, don't have very accurate information on this. It's the best upgrade from the stock size of 195/65/15 in order to keep the speedometer as accurate as possible, plus it's griptastic.

Well, it's certainly a nice upgrade for handling, but if you're looking to upgrade width alone, you could have gone to 225/55/15 or 225/50/15, both very close in diameter to the original size (so keeping speedometer, odometer, and gearing similar to original). They may be odd sizes and difficult to find, I didn't look to see if they're available.

Your better handling can help make up some of the FE you lose from lower-profile tires. Now you don't have to brake as much for turns -- meaning, you don't discard speed that you already spent gas on and then acclerate to regain that speed.

Sorry, My reply in post #10 regarding 3.5 bar being roughly 51 psi (and 44 psi being close to 3.0 bar) was in response to Erik's wondering about the reason for the "odd" psi number as he posted in #5.
