Removable rear seat?

Took my VX for a camping trip, and it actually held quite a bit of gear. Has anyone tried a quick-release rear seat on their car? it would definitely save weight and add room with the seat out, and putting it back in would be a nice option.

Does a kit exist, or do I need to get creative?

actually your seats just clip right out for the top part there is 2 plastic stoppers at the ends that come aout and your seats litterrally pop right off
for the bottom ther is 1 hidden screw at the top

Yeah the seats are already pretty easy to get out. And besides, you won't notice much of a difference at all in mileage. I took out my whole interior, minus drivers seat and dash a couple years ago, and I couldn't really tell a difference at all in FE. Plus the road noise was crazy!

I've had the upper part of my rear seat out numerous times for the extra bit of room it makes versus folding it down. Very easy once you get the hang of taking it out quickly. I wouldnt bother taking out the bottom of the seat since it keeps some road noise down and protects the wiring for the fuel pump from getting pulled/messed up.
