You could try it first... I kept the fan and a wrench in the cab for about a year "in case I needed it". I finally hung the fan in the garage because there was only one occasion where it would have been nice to have.

The rad now runs in single fan, it works fine unless AC is operated on continuously. There are temp sensors that work at higher temp than mine, so timing when it needs to kick in should not be a problem. I may need to use another temp sensor at the pressure cap, water at the top is hotter so it works earlier to start the fan spinning.

In here the idea of removing fans is not applicable, even though the car is moving free or driving in the night, ambient temp would never be able to cool off the rad. Perhaps this is to explain why AC generates heat, when AC is on it means hot air flowing from condenser to the rad and the work of the fan on the radiator becomes less effective.
