VX California VX 1992

I just bought a 1992 CA VX. The Engine is definately D15Z1. The VIN is correct. And the emmision sticker says CA and Fed. The ECU is P07-L00. This model is kind of unusual: The valve cover gasket does not have the VTEC-E although it looks like a VTEC and the O2 sensor is 5 wire. Any clarification would be appreciated. I am looking to convert to lean burn after I smog it.

Everything is perfectly normal. The valve cover with the VTEC-E didn't come to later. Also the 5 wire oxygen sensor is what the 92 California VX's come with standard, even though the computer doesn't do lean burn.

Yes. I believe the fancy valve cover was used in '94 and '95.

That's how the 92 is. Swap in a federal ecu and you will have lean burn. I found mine on ebay for $50.
