Did you try using "Guaranteed to pass"? I realize you've got an underlying problem, but it's much easier to fix a vehicle with current smog & tags than one that isn't. Only recommending use of this (or similar) product to pass smog and then get it fixed.

Looking to trade for an early 1988 Honda CRX HF (Pillar mounted seat belts)
