Reduce the rotational weight by switching to the lighter alloys.

not sure if i want to go w/ the lighter alloys for that reason or stay w/ the steel ones for better aero. i drive mostly hwy miles, so the extra weight may help me in coasting as well.

I'd go with the alloys and a homemade wheel cover of some sort. Either just a rim disc or better an entire rear wheel arch cover. There are threads here that show how to make one. Didn't look hard.

Then you'll have the best of both worlds.

I'd go with whichever one is lighter.
