I'm looking for the cheap magic fix for the huge rust holes where my rear fenders were. I should be getting better mileage now that the car is getting lighter.

The problem is I need a new inspection sticker. My mech dosn't like the speed holes. I have new fenders to put on, but i need to clean out my garage to put the car in and find some time. Does anyone wants a 83 jaguar XJ6 so the VX can take it's place.

Wow, tossing a Jag in favor of a VX, that's the GasSaver spirit!
Kind offer. I, too, have a surplus of motor vehicles. While we're in the giving spirit, anybody have use for a '99 Chevy Prizm (Toyota Corolla)? Wrecked front end including broken axle, does not drive or roll. Crumpled hood, cracked windshield, neither front door opens properly. No fluids leaked. Newish battery and three tires, one tire brand new (original was deemed defective.) 75,000 responsibly driven miles on the legendary 1.8L. Proper maintenance, 3k mi oil changes since 24k miles. Unfortunately the power passes through a three speed tranny which provides only mid thirties mpg at best. The optional four speeds are everywhere and are an easy swap. (Yeah, another thing I meant to get around to.) Your's for the towing, Easton MD.

You know, many salvage yards will either pickup for free, or even give you money for wrecked cars with titles. If you can tow it yourself, take it to a yard that accepts scrap metal... They'll throw it on a scale and pay you by the pound.

Hi guys, don't mean to bump this thread... is the official word on the o2 sensors from autoparts direct is that they work?

I just got a 92 CALI civic with the 5 wire o2 sensor but I am getting the 48 code and am looking for a more affordable solution then the 370 the stealer wants for it.

If you refer to the $289.99 (before shipping)

Does Not Fit Vehicles w/California Emissions

you'll want to pay attention to the final line of it's description. Check whether your "new" VX is indeed a California model. Because of stricter emmision requirements they had a different ECU, one that did not require, or benefit from, a 5 wire O2 sensor. I have heard that some inaugural year 1992 Cali cars did indeed come with a 5 wire sensor. Looks as if this was just because the parts were on hand and Honda was scrambling to get the cars to market. Have a look at the part number on your ECU (black box under the dash on the right. You should find a series of numbers, a dash, and then either -P07-L00 or -P07-L01 on Cali models. If you find either -P07-A00 or -P07-A01, you've got a federal (or 49 state) Civic. The Cali car enjoys no benefit from the pricey 5 wire, you'll do fine with the cheapo 4 wire unit.
