432,000 mile car still does 800 miles per tank

This is why people love diesels. Not only did they discover in a previous episode that this VW based diesel engine had barely any wear and tear after 432,000 miles, but even now, it can still get 75-85 MPG, and over 800 miles on a tank. Amazing

I saw this video the other day, very impressive. Newer cars amaze me every time with regards to how they are built and how long they last.

I speed watched, not enough attention span to watch it all, but it's impressive.

Yea thing is, this car is already 20 years old, think how much tech has moved on since then. I guess these older ones have less stuff to go wrong though, and less emission control items that are often quite unreliable and expensive to fix. If they're still making ICE cars in 10-15 years, they're going to be hanging around quite some time yet.
