Finally getting around to the front tray

I'm finally doing a hard front tray I tried window screen and didn't have much success. I picked up some Black coroplast and got started.

Front tray as in a Grill Block? It's hard for me to gain perspective with it sitting on the floor like that.
MMMMMM... Black Chloroplast! How much did it cost you? My 3 coats of primer and 2 coats of satin black top coat are chipping off my side of the road chloroplast

it goes under the nose between the bumper and the radiator core support I spent $25 for a 3x4ft sheet

That looks just like what came on my VW from the factory.

aalb1, you could use adhesion promoter instead of (or before) primer. I found that flat black spraypaint sticks to glossy white coroplast well without any adhesion promoter or primer, though.

be careful doing that.

I tried doing that on my cav and it overheated in less than a mile. now my car gets most (if not all) of its cooling from the bottom. we both drive GM cars so it may have the same affect. just be sure to take it on a short test drive first or make it removable.

I have contemplated covering part of that opening to make a smaller inlet since I can't cover the entire thing.

the black coroplast does look good.

My car has an air dam ahead of the gap I filled so if anything this will help cooling. I took it on a 50 mile drive and temps stayed in the normal range. I may add a couple extra holes in my block just to be safe (summers are brutal here). below are installed photos (I also added front wheel dams too)





I'm planning to continue the coroplast back to the rear of the cradle then transition to stainless

I think I'll stick to "Side of the Road Coroplast."
But i might have to go with the black coroplast when I make tire deflectors...
