This is interesting. Since I have a 6th gen civic, I'm going to use the pics for reference for my car. Since my car has the radiator on the right side I can block the left side completly.

Too bad the article doesn't include pics of the belly pan so I can have a starting reference.

Im lovin' that air deflector on the nose of the car, eliminating drag underneath. Arent there places where you can just buy those, especially for a car like the Civic which just about everyone (FE, racing, detailing fanatics) like to mod? e should be able to BUY these from sites like JCWhitney instead of going to CO-ZX2 route and performing a homebrew job ourselves.

P.S. No disrespect CO, I wish I could install an undebelly and air deflectors like you did and still have it look half decent. Id prob botch up the car which is why I havent done it yet. I would LOVE to play with 98Camry. I think deflectors and underbelly would take me past 45mpg which is GREAT in a 98Camry which is currrently at a sweet 37mpg. Buying premade for your car would make the job look professional

That Civic is of great interest to me, I'm going to use those images as a semi-reference for some further modifications to my 03.

Wow! Was the Hudson Boys a nostalgia hit. I went to college with Rich Thompson in the mid-60s. He had a Hudson then. We stripped it of all the undercoating and excess weight and then he'd go hunting for small block Chevys to terrorize. At the same time, my roommate and I built a Hudson 8 powered C Street Roadster in the basement. Haven't thought about Rich in years. I sent an e-mail to Hudson Boys. Well, enough of remembrances.

I do think B'ville is where we should look for aero ideas. Restricted class land speed racing is the flip side of FE.

Minor correction, it was a 308 six in the street roadster. The flathead straight eight out of my '34 Hudson coupe in my garage must have clouded my thinking.
