I suppose if everyone around me were driving British cars, I would find regular state-administered vehicle inspections perfectly reasonable.

What's left of British cars, can't imagine there are many left now! Don't mind a few of the prestigious brands though, Bentley, Aston, jaguar, land rover etc, they all seem to be selling well, even if they are owned by VW, Ford, Tata etc ha!

Safety inspections vary state to state. In the several states I have lived in, they have no safety inspection. Much more dangerous anyways on our highways is people driving vehicles with items like king size beds poorly strapped to the top of their passenger cars.
Most of my vehicles would not pass a safety inspection, but they have never caused me to be in a dangerous situation. I do not think my 1965 Dodge truck would pas any of those safety requirements lol.

I just don't get the logic, safety inspections only take 1 hour and cost about £40 here, safety should be paramount. If you drive you car here without an MOT and get caught, the police can crush you car! I know people can check their own cars, but it's easy to miss a cracked tyre, a corroded brake line or a frayed seatbelt.

Wink

A few months ago I noticed the wheel was sagging a little and found that the support plate was bending.

Some reinforcement plates...and now it's way better than before!

I've built a full wheel pant fer the wheel. The wheel pant will swivel back with the wheel assembly so I don't have to worry too much about crushing it when backing up.

The trailer jack only gits installed when I need to do work on the wheel assembly. It's been a great help fer working on the trailer especially on the road. As far as I know, no other single wheel trailer currently being manufactured has an emergency jack solution.

The rear canopy has been rebuilt with the top portion tapering back. Looking through the canopy is a little bit clearer now.

After I took the last shot, I went ahead and installed the remaining side pieces to the rear.
