Is it safe to assume that the cooling fans are on ? I didn't hear/feel them kick on at all. When I got into the garage I popped the hood and they weren't on at that time either. Any input from anyone as to this phenomena ?
It's simple to add an indicator light for your electric fan. If it runs anymore than necessary...there goes your FE?
If all the air in the engine compartment is forced to come in thru the radiator...things might run a little cooler? Though I've always assumed...warmer.
Leading the perpetually ignorant and uninformed into the light of scientific knowledge. Did I really say that?
a new policy....I intend to ignore the nescient...a waste of time and energy.
Well after a couple days and the temps still running in the 190-198* range (hills spike the read to 202* but drops back rapidly gown down hill) the mileage is going up ...up ...UP ! Two days commute now over 50 mpg - my previous *best* tank/fill was 45.3 ,this tank is looking to be a 47-48 mpg tank. Doesn't appear to hurt the FE at all . Which is good as I scored a 3'x3'x1/8" piece of lexan from the dumpster That should be enough for the grill, fogs and maybe a small diffuser for the rear bumper cover .
