I don't see why the 3.4

I don't see why the 3.4 would make 150 less whp than the 2.2, I am also not seeing a properly boosted 3.0 lose to a 3.5, but then again, nissans _____.

OEM Fun, out of the box

For roughly $10,000 I was smoking the **** out of Mustang GT's and nearly all 4 cylinders with my Civic.

If you're willing to do the work yourself, you don't have to spend that much to blow away the competition.
My aim wasn't to go out street racing, and I'm not a mechanic. I wanted a one-off Rally car that I could have some fun with, and the EVO was the first one to fit the bill in the 'States. I had been watching them on the WRC for a few years at that point, and really wanted one. The EVO-8 isn't designed just for straight-line stuff -- if you dragged it too often, the clutch would be fried in no-time. I had a '99 Civic Si (B16A2) with no major mods that I could've easily modded to go fast in a straight line, but to have an AWD car with a warranty, recaro seats with 5-point harness points, four doors, a usable trunk, A/C, and a hand-made carbon-fiber spoiler seemed like perfect fun. Especially by putting Winter tires on in the colder months. I couldn't wait for the snow and ice. SUVs were sliding all over the place and here I was having a blast, in control. The pull from the turbo in 2nd and especially 3rd gears was truly memorable -- in any weather condition. The rear LSD locked-in when slip was detected and off you went. The steering was super-quick and handling was almost too good to keep up with. I could go on, but I won't bore you with the how much fun this car was (and I got to drive it to work every day) :-) It's out of my system now, and I'm driving a de-tuned Integra at 15 MPH under the highway speed limit. Who would've figured :?

A few magazines covered this. Who knows if it really works...if it does, why aren't more automakers using it
They sell those thingies as packs of 6 for approx $20.00 around here. Cheepskate plastic though. You need to treat, prep and paint em before you can mount em...

Extremely ugly... I would prefer a DTM style spoiler with vortex generating winglets facing upwards and splitters at the rear bumper (valance style) so the air flow will be headed and guided...

I can't imagine this setup, would you be able to sketch it and share your sketch with me?
