I was excited at first, but then I saw the MPG estimates- surely they can do better than 27 city/33 highway- they could likely put a tall overdrive in that 6 speed automatic transmission.

But with 140 hp- it would be a fun car to drive (this coming from a guy whose car has only 60 hp).

If they could only wean the hp down to 100 or so, (maybe a turbo 1.0L) then they could maybe see 40 mpg highway. But we Americans like speed and acceleration

yup, true enough. i was simply surprised at GM's truck branch getting involved in a FE vehicle.

I imagine it already has a plenty tall overdrive...GM tends to put in taller overdrives than anyone else, in general.
