Yes, it will spin the inside tire taking a left turn. Its quite an amusing thing to ride. It has lights, signals, brake lights, and horn. The horn barely works under full throttle. The controller distributes power to all the accessories.

Maybe you need a solar bimini.

The battery pack is pretty sad. It will go about 300 yards nice and then start puttering out. I also think my pack wiring is hurting it. I used crimp connectors and 16g wire.

Evbike conversion
I went to the local bike shop today to see if he had any ideas about a drive system. He wasn't any help at all. He said I was wasting my time. I'm trying to do this on a severely restricted budget. Free! I nabbed another bike from the trash today. So far in the last three months I've been unable to find a decent rear wheel.

I think my favorite idea for how to mount a motor is to do it off of a tandem crankset. That way you can get the advantage of using all of your gears with the motor, on the downside is that when the motor is running the pedals are turning. It's not exactly the cheap way to go, but it seems like the most effective way to use a motors (relatively) small torque band.

To clarify, a motor doesn't have a small torque band, but a bicycle has an ENORMOUS range of gearing. A motor tied to the wheel at a fixed ratio will either not have much starting torque or will run out of torque at the top end of your bikes speed range.
