I don't know why the emphasis in the article is on making hydrogen using electrolysis. The more significant point is that it's a different way to make solar electricity. If you want to use that electricty to make hydrogen, great, but if not you can still use it for other things.

DIY solar would be great. I hope they manage to make more than 20mw in their next experimental device.

Yet another Idiotech article. I guess it keep the news industry in business...

Thermocouples are inefficient (single digit %) and expensive. Placing standard solar cells at the focus would generate significantly more power.
