Adding Service Data to Fuelly?

Hey all,

I've been "test driving" Fuelly for the last couple months. At the same time, I'm still using my old fuel and service/maintenance tracking app (Road Trip). I'm loving Fuelly, but right now I'm running both solutions as, from what I can tell, Fuelly doesn't have the option to track service/maintenance. But, last night I got an alert that GasTracker+ was updated and it now has the ability to add service/maintenance data. So, I'm wondering—is there a way to import my service/maintenance data (via a CSV file) into GasTracker+ and/or Fuelly? This is the missing key to my being able to dump my old app and go all-in with Fuelly.

Thanks,
Kristin.

You can currently add a Service on Fuelly.com by clicking "Add a Note" on the left sidebar.
See: TinyGrab - Simple. Screenshot. Sharing.

As for an import function, it is something we do plan to offer. As well as displaying Services on your Vehicle's profile on the website.

Adding services in general on Fuelly is a new feature and still a work in progress.

We'll get there!

OK, thanks! I'll continue to straddle the two apps for the time being!
Thanks again!

GasTracker+ v3 is a big improvement over v2 but in 5 minutes of use I found more bugs then 5 years of Gas Cubby v2, Gas Cubby is still better. Gas Cubby v3 is right around the corner, the corner may be at the end of a long straight away but it's the last straight away. If Fuelly delivers Gas Cubby 3 with the look of GasTracker 3 and all the features and reliability of Gas Cubby 2 it will be worth the wait, if not Road Trip will see a surge in new users.

LittleHim - Would it be possible to summarize the many bugs you refer to above? The bug report I saw from you in the system included only a display issue on the iPad (with the phone version working fine). Would love to have any details you can provide on the many other bugs you experienced.

We're about to release a bug fix update and I'd like to address what we can, as quickly as we can.

Why are there two separate apps (Gas Cubby and Gas Tracker) for Fuelly? Wouldn't it make more sense to focus on a single app?

Anyway, for the time being, I'm going to have to stick with Road Trip as my primary app (as I have 7+ years of service data in the app already), but I'll continue to use Fuelly (was using the mobile site for inputting gas, but I'll start testing Gas Tracker now that it's been updated) as well, just for gas tracking, for now (until the option becomes available to import service data from a CSV). If you ever need anyone to beta test this functionality, sign me up (I've got a long history of iOS & web beta/QA testing under my belt).

Thanks again,
Kristin.

Josh the iPad issue was sent thru the Feedback from my iPad, reinstalling did not fix.
bug 1 - I sent feedback from my iPhone which you don't see.

Sent from my iPhone 5 iOS 8.4.1
bug 2 - On the Vehicle Stats screen the AVG. Liters/Fuelup is miscalculated, shows gallons instead of liters
bug 3 - some data isn't syncing from site. I entered a fuel up on my iPhone the synced my iPad

another sent from my iPad 2 iOS 8.4.1 after reinstalling
bug 4 - some iPad UI issues, text areas not showing all text or scrolling option

ability to add a New Service Type - mentioned here
turn off visible fields shows off but still shows in log
noticed today - my tags are no longer showing in GasTracker (iPhone and iPad)

I use Fuelly apps primarily on my iPhone but sometimes need to look up something when my iPad is handier so iPad issues are more laziness then needs.

Edit --- on Vehicle Info screen TOTAL KM TRACKED is Miles not KM

In the graphs there is an issue with the Fuel Price per Gallon graph. Assuming a US Gallon it is correct except I'm in Canada and have my settings as Liters, Fuel Price per Liter or Litre would be more meaningful.
