GasSavers Podcast

Over the next few weeks I'm going to take steps into setting up a podcast for GasSavers. It will be hosted by me initially, and hopefully will get a co-host after a while.

The plan is to interview people who have made extreme advances in fuel economy, debunk certain claims of the snake-oil salesmen, and discuss items that are of interest to fuel economy fans.

Please send me a private message with show ideas, protential guests, or suggestions. We're still very much in the planning phase, but it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

Matt

I assume a Podcast is broadcast over Apple iTunes or something like that? How does it work exactly? Is it audio/video or audio only?

It's audio only, but you don't have to have an ipod to listen. It's really just a really large MP3 file that you can download and listen to whenever you want.

Oh...okay. You'd just host it off the gassavers site then...?

I'd probably host it on a podcast network site, but I'd make sure it was more than clear how to get the files.

I friend of mine used to be a radio DJ and I would hang out with him and f**k about on the radio and such, if you need some help, lemme know. I can do a few voices as well. =)

Very cool Bunger. Many of the podcasts I listen to use actual telephones for the microphones. For instance one podcast I listen to has one of the hosts in Texas and another in Canada. They host the show together and it comes together very professionally.

I am hoping that a good co-host will be able to commit to some time using this method in the future, whoever it is.
