Here's a link to the EPAs

Here's a link to the EPAs Alternative fuels section, http://www.epa.gov/otaq/consumer/fuels/altfuels/altfuels.htm
Here's a link to JourneyToForever.org which runs cars on various forms of vegetable oil. My understanding is that straight recylced-filtered soybean oil from a potato frier (french fries) is the cheapest and best, because the glycerin that is removed to make Biodiesel, makes it a poorer lubricant, albiet an easier fuel to transport(no geling at low temps). http://journeytoforever.org/biodiesel_svo.html

Bio diesel is fun to make providing you like the smell. I used to produce mine from WVO, 50~ gallons a week! I sold my garage and don't have zone permits to open up shop again...for now....
