70 car pile up...

what do you all think of the smog related pile-up of 70 vehicles in polk county, florida?
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/commu...,4652234.story

very sad that, now, 5 people have lost their lives. not to mention the critical, life changing injuries of the survivors. as the lawsuits begin, who do you believe is to blame?

the "controlled" fire got out of control, the fog rolled in,and finally DRIVERS did not slow down. you can guess who i believe is at fault.

when do we take responsibility for ourselves? any other views?

It sad that people died. I find it ridiculous that some of the "victims" are "looking" for someone to sue. Ridiculous. Thats an accident, its what you have insurance for. You get in, turn the key, accept the risk. Reguardless if the smoke had anything to do with it, the fog still would have been there and everyone was properly warned.

Folks should have never been driving fast into fog and smoke.... They have no one to blame but themselves.....
