On behalf of the Hon. Ralph Goodale, I thank you for your email and congratulate you on doing your part for the environment.

When in Regina (usually weekends) Mr. Goodale drives a Jeep Liberty and when in Ottawa he takes the city bus to and from Parliament Hill.

If I was guessing, I would think that it would be a V6 with automatic trasnmission. EPA is 17/21. Could be worse I guess.

Of course, the response conveniently omits the fact that he has one heck of a commute (weekly, by jet)!

And the trouble with the "could be worse" rationale is that 99% of the population can apply it to their particular situations.
