CO2 emissions/year

Kinda along the line of Snax GPH thread. I though it would be intersting to get a picture of the CO2 emissions for the car. According to the EPA for every gallon of gas burned we produce 19.4 pounds of CO2 and 22.8 for diesel. In 2006 I used 7.6 barrels of oil (42 gallons a barrel) and in 2007 so far I've used 2.62 barrels thus far. Which translates to 3.09 tons in 2006 and thus far 1.07 tons in 2007. Trending in the right direction.

Here the data for the sites fuel misers cars:
Metro In 2006 used 1.8 barrels for 0.73 tons and thus far in 2007 the useage is 0.44 barrels and 0.18 tons. And still trending down.

SVOboy giving him a run for the money. In 2006 his usage was 2.54 barrels for 1.3 tons and thus far in 2007 the useage is 0.43 barrels and 0.18 tons also trending down.

Whoot nice trend
Anybody else feel free to post their trend.

My car averages 102 g/km of CO2, so in a typical year I'll throw out 2.8 tonnes of CO2 (29,000 km).

It's buried in the first post. 19.4 x gallons for the year burned is the CO2 in pounds divided by 2000 for tons.

CO2 emissions to not correlate to "pollution" as we normally think of it (particulate that is).

Yeah, I'm proud of my downward trend. I will prolly use more next year driving back on forth to college, but as my car will double the van and be much better than any plane, it's still rockin'. Hopefully more biking will offset that.

Anyway, it would be very neat to stick this kind of data somewhere in the corner of the gaslog or make a sig link for it.
